ACSA Presents: 4-Day Social Media Workshop

Alexander College has different events planned by both the Alexander College Student Association (ACSA) and Student Life for March and April, including a variety of events, workshops, health and wellness activities, various club activities, and a 4-Day Social Media Workshop based on the students’ interests.

Social media platforms have become the best communication, social and informative platforms that everyone interacts with within their day-to-day lives – we use them to represent ourselves digitally for our friendships, careers and every facet of who we are.

This blog post will cover the activities and the importance of the ACSA 4-Day Social Media Workshop. Most students tend to misuse social media platforms, and therefore, this workshop will help them learn how to use different platforms effectively.

The event will be very resourceful, beneficial, and fruitful, and all the attendants will gain a lot. Your online persona, avatar or often what’s called a “digital footprint” that you create now serves to shape your future, so maintaining this is a vital part of the direction you want your life to go in.

Your student association recognizes this as well and is very proud to present this workshop series which run over the course of four days: March 23rd, 24th, 30th, and 31st.

The event will cover the effective use of different social media platforms and taught by Social Media Instructor, Jeanette Martin. All students who attend all four days of the workshop series will get a certificate of completion.

The event is FREE and open to the entire Student Body and Alumni. If you would like to register, please do so by emailing: ACSA@alexandercollege.ca.

The deadline for registration is on Monday, March 22nd. It is a requirement that all registered persons must attend all four days of the workshop. The series will be a one-hour event each day, either between 10:00 am to 11:00 am or 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm for all the registered students’ convenience.

Please note that registration is limited to the first 12 participants, so book soon!

The different platforms covered for each day of the event are the following:

• DAY 1 – LINKEDIN – Tuesday, March 23rd
• DAY 2 – INSTAGRAM – Wednesday, March 24th
• DAY 3 – FACEBOOK – Tuesday, March 30th
• DAY 4 – TWITTER – Wednesday, March 31st
