If you are an international student at Alexander College, the summer break period is July 8 -August 24, 2019. While there are a small number of condensed classes offered during the summer months, the Summer Intensive term is not considered a regular study term for the purposes of study permit or work permit eligibility, and you are not required to take courses during this period.
If you choose to take a break during this period, you may work full-time (up to 40 hours per week) during the break (July 8 -August 24, 2019). Taking a break from study during this period will not affect your eligibility for the post-graduation work permit, provided that you are enrolled, full-time, in both the term before and the term after the Summer break.
