FAQ

No. Since the program is under 6 months, you only need an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) for Canada. No Study Permit application is required.

We welcome students from IELTS 4.0 and above. Camp A is for IELTS 4.0–5.0 students. Camp B is for IELTS 5.0+ students. Equivalent scores are accepted (TOEIC 450+, EIKEN Pre-2+, TOEFL iBT 32+). Not sure which track? Share your result or education history.

Yes. During academic hours at Alexander College/Academy, supervision is provided by AC/AA instructors. All other times (mornings, evenings, meals, activities, excursions) students are supervised by Camp International staff at UBC.

Students must be 15–19 years old at the time of the program (July 2026). High school students and first-year university students are welcome.

Weekends are filled with excursions and activities organized by Camp International. All weekend programs are fully supervised with transportation and meals included. Detailed weekend schedules will be provided closer to the program start date.

Yes. Students interested in continuing their English studies can explore Alexander College’s EAP (English for Academic Purposes) program, which can lead to the University Transfer program. Ask advisors for pathway options.

We recommend applying by May 1, 2026 to secure your spot. Late applications may be accepted subject to availability. Early application is recommended as spaces are limited.

Essential items: Valid passport (with eTA), comfortable clothing for various weather, toiletries and personal items, any required medications, and spending money for souvenirs/snacks (CAD $200–400 recommended). A detailed packing list will be provided after enrollment.

Yes. UBC dining is buffet-style, and students can self-select food that suits their needs (vegetarian, halal, allergies, etc.). Portions are unlimited.
