Program Basics

July 20–31, 2026 (10 instructional weekdays)

Ages 15–19, English equivalent to IELTS 4.0+. IELTS, TOEFL, EIKEN, TOEIC, school grades all accepted.

Camp A (IELTS 4.0–5.0): Speaking confidence, grammar, daily practice, communication skills. Camp B (IELTS 5.0+): Academic writing, critical thinking, presentations, university prep.

Yes – instructors may adjust placement after arrival if needed.

79% English (38h) + 21% AI & STEAM labs (10h) at AC’s Innovation Centre. UBC campus living + Vancouver experiences (Gastown, Stanley Park, Granville Island).

7:00 breakfast (UBC) > 8:00 bus > 9:00–12:00 English > 12:00–13:00 lunch > 13:00–15:00 AI/STEAM or English Workshop > 15:00 return UBC > 18:00 dinner > 19:00–21:00 evening activities > 22:00 lights out.

48 total hours: 38h English (30h core + 8h workshops) + 10h AI & STEAM labs.

Accommodation & Meals

UBC Campus residence halls – modern dormitories, 24/7 supervision by Camp International.

Single or double rooms (same-gender roommates). Requests accommodated when possible, not guaranteed.

3 meals daily included. UBC dining is buffet-style; unlimited portions. Lunch is grab-and-go or campus cafeteria.

Weekends & Vancouver Activities

Full-day activities by Camp International: Gastown, Stanley Park, Granville Island, sports, cultural events. Detailed schedule shared before program.

Visa & Travel

No. Program is under 6 months. You need eTA (visa-exempt) or a visitor visa. Apply early (4–6 weeks). Biometrics may be required for first-time applicants.

Full $5,600 refund. $200 application fee non-refundable. Submit the official refusal letter by the program start date.

Strongly recommended (trip cancellation, medical emergencies/evacuation, delays, lost baggage). AC/AA not responsible for disruptions or unforeseen circumstances.

Fees, Payments & Refunds

AC Tuition $2,200 + UBC Living $3,400 + $200 Application Fee.

Airfare, travel insurance, personal spending. Airport transfer is free (email flight details to summercamp@alexandercollege.ca).

$200 application fee due at application. Remaining $5,600 balance due by Wednesday, June 10, 2026 (PST).

Reserved space may be released to waitlisted students without notice.

No – non-refundable for student-initiated cancellations. Refundable only if AC/AA cancels the program.

By June 20 (30+ days before): full $5,600 refund. After June 20: no refund. Medical emergency within 30 days: up to 50% at AC/AA discretion with doctor’s letter. After start or behavioral dismissal: no refund.

Refunds processed within 30 days. Bank/currency fees may be deducted from the refund.

Supervision & Safety

AC/AA instructors supervise during academic hours. Camp International supervises transportation, evenings, weekends, and overnight at UBC.

Camp International staff are first-aid trained. Serious cases: Vancouver General Hospital or BC Children’s Hospital. Parents are notified immediately.

Packing & Certificate

Clothing for 12 days, walking shoes, light jacket (15–25°C), toiletries, sunscreen, water bottle. Passport + eTA/visa. Medications (labeled). Spending money: CAD $200–300 recommended.

Yes – official AC/AA Summer Camp 2026 Certificate. Requires 80%+ attendance and final presentation. Final Showcase: Friday July 31 (parents welcome).
