Research librarians are available in person at both campuses from 8am to 9pm Monday through Friday and 8:30am to 5pm on Saturday to assist with your research needs. Our library staff includes:
Library staff can support you in your studies by helping you locate and obtain information for your research papers. I can show you how to access library resources like journal databases, books, eBooks, and the internet. I can also assist you with tasks such as checking your course websites on AC Online, registering for courses, ordering official documents, as well as applying for a student card, provided that you bring some official form of photo identification (passport, driver’s license, or BC ID).
From Monday to Friday, I am always happy to help, but to ensure that I will be available; I recommend that you contact me by email or phone to make an appointment. Finally, if you are looking for a good book to read for fun or to practice your reading skills, stop by the library and I can recommend something!
My background is in History, specializing in Middle Eastern and Islamic History, with a B.A. from Simon Fraser University and in Geographic Information Systems with a diploma from BCIT. I would be more than happy to help you with any library services and or any questions you may have. As your Vancouver campus librarian, I can help you with your research papers, from narrowing down a topic to evaluating sources and citations. I am happy to meet with you about your research assignments, but to make sure I’m available, please book a time with me via email or in-person. My background is in English literature and I welcome chats about books and food any time!
