    My role at the college is to facilitate a positive student experience through fostering a sense of community, engagement and responsibility. I oversee the Student Affairs Services Divisions at Alexander College, including the Library, Academic Advising, Career Advising, Health and Wellness, Student Advocacy, Student Engagement, Student Life, and the Writing and Learning Centre.

    Furthermore, my responsibilities include processing student appeals, requests, suggestions for improvement around the college and creating and enforcing policies regarding student conduct under the Office of Student Affairs. All students should feel welcome to schedule an appointment with me at the Student Affairs Window as I’m happy to help with any issue to improve the student experience both on and off campus.

    The Registrar is a member of the College’s administration responsible for student records and primarily involved in the development and application of College policy and procedures in admissions, placement testing, financial aid, term scheduling, course registration and student records (e.g. privacy, storage, grades, records retention, etc.), as well as transfer credit, articulation, course and program development, graduation and conferral of degrees.

    My work is primarily behind the scenes, serving on various administrative committees and providing direction to staff and faculty related to the aforementioned admin areas.

    As Associate Registrar, my role is to support the Registrar with the day-to-day leadership of the department.
    In particular, I lead on creation of the term schedule, course registration, and appeals, as well as handle system issues, bugs, and new developments.

    Claudia is a member of our Student Records team, responsible for student file documents, information updates, document validation, etc.

    As Student Records Clerk, Claudia works with physical and digital student files and records, ensuring secure retention of records including admission documents, transcripts, test scores, and other confidential student documents. She also supports the Student Records team in the fulfilment of orders for an official transcript.

    Le Hai Phuong (Phoenix) is a member of our Student Records team in the Office of the Registrar. She completed her undergraduate studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University focusing on Hospitality and Tourism.

    As an Officer specializing in Admissions, Phoenix supports students and staff with all forms of inquiry related to admissions processing and requirements, placement testing and financial aid. Behind the scenes Phoenix is busy evaluating new applications for admission from around the world, invigilating placement tests, running workshops for students, and more.


Enrollment & Academic Advising

The Enrollment & Academic Advising Division is the first point of contact for our new students. Our officers welcome and greet prospective students and help these students to find the right programs at Alexander College.We provide guidance and advice on the admission and registration processes to prospective students and preview and verify the application and documentation.

In addition, as academic advisors, we assist the students to create education plans and provide advice on course selection and information on university transfer requirements. We also help students calculate their program GPAs. Please feel free to contact our officers if you have any questions!

    As a Professional Wellness Counselor, I strive to provide students with support and advocacy throughout their experience with Alexander College. I provide a safe and supportive environment that helps students develop trust and gain insight into their concerns.

    Students can come to me to discuss any concerns over anxiety, depression, relationships, loneliness, substance misuse or other personal matters. I also help those students who are struggling to adjust to life in Vancouver, and or to meet their health and wellness goals.

    Together we develop a plan that meets their needs and helps them cope with their problems.
