    My role at the college is to facilitate a positive student experience through fostering a sense of community, engagement and responsibility. I oversee the Student Success Services Divisions at Alexander College, including the Library, Academic Advising, Health and Wellness, Student Life, Student Success Services and the Writing and Learning Centre.

    Furthermore, my responsibilities include processing student appeals, requests, suggestions for improvement around the college and creating and enforcing policies regarding student conduct under the Office of Student Affairs. All students should feel welcome at any time to stop by and see me – my door is always open, and I’m happy to help with any issue to improve the student experience both on and off campus.

    The Registrar is a member of the College’s administration responsible for student records and primarily involved in the development and application of College policy and procedures in admissions, placement testing, financial aid, course registration and student records (e.g. privacy, storage, grades, backup, etc.), articulation and transfer credit, graduation, class and examinations scheduling.

    My work is primarily behind the scenes, providing direction to staff and faculty related to the aforementioned admin areas.

    Here at Alexander College, I serve a dual role. In Admissions, I assist students with applications, document orders, course withdrawals, course credit transfer, program change requests, document orders, medical insurance, or registration issues.

    My other function is to administer placement tests in English and mathematics. These tests help set up students for academic success by determining the most appropriate course levels for students to take. I enjoy welcoming students into our college and helping them get started with their academic studies. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding these areas.

    Whether you are a prospective student or a current student, I can provide you with information regarding admission requirements, enrolment and registration, and program benefits.

    I offer guidance in course selection in keeping with the student’s interests, values, and abilities; explain school policies and procedures; identify options for students to satisfy specific degree requirements; and advise students on academic and personal issues.

    As a member of the AC marketing department, I also help to develop and maintain relationships with education agencies and immigration consultants. I look forward to meeting with you.

    As a Liaison Officer, I provide consultation for existing or prospective students with their application, course selection, and registration. As a former international student, I myself experienced the local education system.

    Now, I enjoy helping students from varied cultural backgrounds, drawing upon my own personal experience and knowledge. I am fluent in English and Mandarin. In addition to assisting students, I am also a member of the Marketing Department.

    As a former international graduate, I have experienced the Canadian education system, which has let me connect with students from different cultural backgrounds; and due to my experience, I have found joy in helping them at any time.

    My job is to assist prospective and current students; I help them choose their program based on their academic and future goals in Canada. I am also responsible for developing and maintaining recruitment networks, both locally and overseas. My job includes travelling to various international destinations for educational fairs and meetings.

    As a Professional Wellness Counselor, I strive to provide students with support and advocacy throughout their experience with Alexander College.

    I provide a safe and supportive environment that helps students develop trust and gain insight into their concerns. Students can come to me to discuss any concerns over anxiety, depression, relationships, loneliness, substance misuse or other personal matters. I also help those students who are struggling to adjust to life in Vancouver, and or to meet their health and wellness goals.

    Together we develop a plan that meets their needs and helps them cope with their problems.
