Alexander College Student Association (ACSA)

ACSA is a group of students united by a desire to make a positive and substantial difference in the lives of other students here at Alexander College.

As part of ACSA, you can involve yourself in regular and dynamic opportunities such as:

  • Event planning
  • Budgeting
  • Acquisition of resources for the student body
  • Creating activities that help students positively engage with life in Canada
  • Help their fellow students make new friends, create new connections, and enhance the student experience at AC

In addition to playing an integral role in the enhancement of life at Alexander College, students who participate in ACSA gain invaluable experience in leadership, developing initiatives, and helping shape the Association’s policies and processes.

You can count your membership in ACSA as volunteer experience as it is eligible for your Co-Curricular Record. This is a benefit to you, as it can greatly improve your application for further studies and your career interests.

PlayStation 5 Console Lending Program

The Alexander College Student Association (ACSA) supports many initiatives and a major one is gaming access for our student body. We offer students the amazing opportunity to access the PlayStation 5 console, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

In order to check out the PlayStation 5 console, students must visit the SA DIV Frontdesk located inside the Library. Students must be registered for the current term, and prove that by providing their AC Student ID. Once that has been confirmed, students may leave either their AC Student ID or one piece of Government ID with the SA Frontdesk in order to check out the PlayStation 5 console. Upon returning the PlayStation 5 console, students will be given back their ID.

Borrowing Video Games

AC students are permitted to borrow video games for the PlayStation 5 console from the AC library. Students must provide either a form of government ID or their AC Student ID with their student number on it when borrowing a video game. Students are permitted to borrow a video game for either 3 or 7 days depending on the game. Please visit the library services page for more information on loan periods.

Meeting

ACSA holds biweekly meetings with snacks provided. Come out to these meetings, meet new people, and shape your experience at AC for the better! Please click here for meeting information.

How to Join

Membership in ACSA is simple: come out and join the weekly meeting at our Burnaby campus or email our Student Life Officer: studentlife@alexandercollege.ca.

You will be introduced to existing Association members and explore current opportunities to be involved at each meeting. Remember that your participation with ACSA can count toward your Co-Curricular record!
