Position Overview

The ideal candidate will be capable of teaching one or more of the following MATH course(s):

  • MATH 100 – Precalculus
  • MATH 104 – Differential Calculus w/Applications to Commerce & Social Sciences
  • MATH 105 – Integral Calculus w/Applications to Commerce & Social Sciences
  • MATH 115 – Discrete Mathematics
  • MATH 123 – Mathematics for Everyday Life
  • MATH 151 – Calculus I
  • MATH 152 – Calculus II
  • MATH 232 – Elementary Linear Algebra
  • MATH 251 – Multivariable Calculus
  • MATH 255 – Ordinary Differential Equations

Qualifications For Biology Instructor

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Math, or equivalent
  • 2 years experience teaching the same or similar courses at another BC post-secondary institution
  • Able to demonstrate success in innovative or student-centered teaching techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of course learning outcomes an asset
  • Proficient with educational technology including databases and online learning environments
  • Excellent instructional capability
  • Able to maintain professionalism and cordiality when working with others
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs and applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Strong Proficiency in English

Our academic preparation courses prepare students for the many challenges faced in university level studies. Students enrolled in our university level courses may work towards a 2-year Associate of Arts Degree or Associate of Science Degree, awarded by Alexander College.
