ACV Campus Notice:

On Friday January 17, and Monday January 20, ACV Campus (570 Dunsmuir, Vancouver) will be closed during the demolition of an adjacent building on Dunsmuir. For Friday January 17, and Monday January 20, please check with your instructors as ACV classes may be held over Zoom. The ACV campus will re-open as usual on Tuesday January 21. The ACB Burnaby campus is unaffected and will remain open as usual during this time.

Sustainability on Campus

Alexander College strives for sustainability through education, community engagement, and modeling waste reduction best practices. We aim to produce environmentally responsible global citizens and contribute to the overall health of the communities in which we live.

The Alexander College Green Committee is a group of staff, faculty, and students who work together to increase environmental awareness at Alexander College while creating events and leading initiatives in order to decrease our environmental impact.

Health and Safety Planning

At Alexander College, the Health and Safety unit is responsible for ensuring the well-being of the college community. Our primary focus is to enforce and uphold the college’s safety protocols and regulations.

We strive to provide support to students, faculty, and staff in maintaining a safe, hygienic, and secure environment through regular campus inspections, accident prevention, identifying and responding to safety concerns, and facilitating training and research.

Our main goal is to foster a safe and healthy environment for work and study.

First Aid information

To provide timely and effective support for health-related concerns on campus, both the Burnaby and Vancouver campuses have easily accessible first-aid rooms. These rooms are stocked with essential supplies. Our Burnaby campus is equipped with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) machine.

There are staff members trained in providing first aid available at all our campuses to offer immediate support and assistance when needed. Medical emergencies can vary in severity. In case of an emergency, always call 911.
