The Writing and Learning Centre (WLC) is pleased to introduce the Grammar Lab, a new Canvas course for all AC students. You can access this course from the Student Support Hub. This is a course designed to help you practice basic grammar skills, and understand how to fix grammar mistakes in your writing. Students can go to the Grammar Lab anytime to study and practice.
The Grammar Lab has different modules that cover specific grammar points. If you know what you would like to work on, you can go directly to that module. If you’re not sure where to start, go to the self-assessment section. In a few short questions, you will be directed to modules that will be helpful for you.
In each module, you can read an explanation of the grammar point with tips for writing. Next, there is a quiz to practice what you’ve learned. Finally, there are writing tasks to practice what you’ve learned. Complete the writing tasks, then book an appointment with a WLC Humanities tutor via WCOnline and the tutor can check your writing and grammar.

We are grateful to have the opportunity to work in this territory.
