During your time at Alexander College and other post-secondary institutes, many assignments will require you to use a variety of software such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint or Zoom.
Developing the skills to use these software programs will not only benefit you during your academic career, but afterwards as well. Many workplaces and offices will use these programs and expect you to be able to use them as well.
The Software Skills course is a self-study canvas course created by the Writing & Learning Centre where you can learn how to use these applications at your own pace.
You can access the course here or by reaching the Student Support hub in Canvas. If you would like help accessing the course or assistance using any of these software programs, please come to the WLC.
Alexander College acknowledges that the land on which we usually gather is the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work in this territory.
