Alexander College invites dynamic and well-qualified individuals to join us as faculty who will contribute to the development and delivery of a proposed Bachelor of Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence. This innovative degree will prepare students for professional practice across the full spectrum of applied artificial intelligence (AI). Graduates will possess the technical skills to design, evaluate, and deploy AI-driven solutions that include machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, generative AI, robotics, and cloud computing. The program also fosters the intellectual and creative competencies necessary to use AI ethically and effectively in diverse sectors. Throughout the curriculum professional responsibilities are enhanced through emphasis on scholarly research, security and privacy, Indigenous perspectives, and equity.

Prior to program start-up, the emphasis will be on 100- and 200-level course delivery, curriculum development, and AI research in collaboration with the Alexander Innovation Centre. After program start-up, This faculty position involves teaching 100- through 400-level courses (.66 FTE or approximately eight courses per year) combined with scholarly activity and research activity (.34 FTE).
