What happens if I disagree with an Academic Alert?

Alexander College believes in the principles of natural justice and student self-advocacy. Therefore, students can contact the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities if they wish to appeal their Academic Alert.

Each student has 10 calendar days to appeal their Academic Alert. Students are required to attend an Academic Integrity Workshop even if they intend to submit an appeal. More information regarding the academic appeal process can be found on our website here.

Please note that only students who received standard Academic Alerts can appeal. Students with Type II Academic Alerts do not get to appeal because Type II Academic Alerts do not stay on students’ records.

Alexander College acknowledges that the land on which we usually gather is the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work in this territory.
